I always read obituaries. It's like a history lesson, but sadder. Plus, it says a lot about us -- what we think is worth remembering and honoring.
Ben Chapman, famous for playing the Creature from the Black Lagoon, recently passed away. No doubt he had a great impact on the cult movie crowd. But I couldn't help but be curious about all those medals he won while a Marine in the Korean War, which (apparently) didn't deserve more than a passing mention...
